THESEUS research programm congress 13-15.2.2012 in Berlin

The German THESEUS Research Program is a running scientific and industry consortium to develop technologies for the Internet of Services. The broad spectrum of high-quality services ranges from innovative search applications for the digital library to modern service offers such as Cloud Computing.

A part of the question for the future is - how to integrate the Internet of Services into collaborative and personal work processes? Together with Attensity Europe and DFKI, we integrated some of the results of the THESEUS program with our product Refinder, to enable knowledge workers to interact with various search engines and services. The vision of integrating Refinder with THESEUS was inspired by Vannevar Bush's "Memex". His original concept from 1945 was to create an "enlarged intimate supplement to one's memory" and also encompassed basic communication means (comparable to an early "fax machine"). We see Refinder as a current-day equivalent here, a mean to store and communicate information.

We will showcase the integration next week in Berlin, between 13th and 15h February 2012.
